The certification confirms that CERAMIN, which is based on polypropylene, represents a particularly resource-efficient and fully recyclable alternative to conventional PVC flooring. Following intensive preparation and comprehensive data collection, the certification was officially confirmed on December 3, 2025, underscoring the CLASSEN Group’s commitment to sustainability.

The naturwind Group, together with the Classen Group and other partners, is planning the construction of a wind farm, a district heating network, and a hydrogen plant. The “Energy for Baruth” project takes a decentralized and holistic approach. It aims to supply industry and residents in the region with electricity and heat. Covering an area of 35,000 square meters, the CLASSEN Group’s new photovoltaic system generates green energy for its production facility in Kaisersesch. The massive solar park generates enough electricity each year to power approximately 1,300 two-person households for an entire year or to supply a soccer stadium with energy for about 200 games.

About 12 months after the groundbreaking ceremony, HC Plastics GmbH opened one of Germany’s most modern plastic recycling plants yesterday at its Niederzissen site. In the future, approximately 15,000 tons of plastic waste per year will be processed here for further use in industrial processes. By recycling polypropylene packaging film—which was previously mainly incinerated—the company is setting new standards in plastic recycling. Mayor Petra Kalkbrenner and other representatives, including officials from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, were enthusiastic about the project.

About 12 months after the groundbreaking ceremony, HC Plastics GmbH opened one of Germany’s most modern plastic recycling plants yesterday at its Niederzissen site. In the future, approximately 15,000 tons of plastic waste per year will be processed here for further use in industrial processes. By recycling polypropylene packaging film—which was previously mainly incinerated—the company is setting new standards in plastic recycling. Mayor Petra Kalkbrenner and other representatives, including officials from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, were enthusiastic about the project.
