August 5, 2024, Kaisersesch – The CLASSEN Group is pleased to announce the publication of its sustainability report for 2022/23. The report is a key tool for transparently presenting our commitment to future-oriented development and our progress in the areas of environment, social responsibility, and corporate governance (ESG).
With this report, the CLASSEN Group underscores its responsibility toward society and the environment. It provides a comprehensive overview of our initiatives and the specific measures we have taken over the past two years to achieve our environmental and social goals.

“For us, responsibility is not just a buzzword, but a core principle that guides our actions. By publishing this report, we are showing our stakeholders how seriously we take our responsibility. It serves not only to inform, but also to motivate us to continuously improve our approach,” emphasizes Julie Quervel, Head of Accounting and Financial Reporting and a member of the CLASSEN Group’s sustainability team.
The report documents progress in key ESG areas, such as:

ENVIRONMENT
Our efforts to reduce CO2 emissions, the use of forward-looking raw materials, and the continuous optimization of our production processes to minimize our environmental impact.

SOCIAL
Our commitment to fair working conditions, the promotion of diversity and inclusion, and our support for local communities.

CORPORATE GOVERNANCE
The advancement of transparent and ethical business practices to ensure trust and integrity in all our activities.
The preparation of this report is the result of intensive collaboration and the dedication of many employees. We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of you for your dedicated efforts and support. Your contribution was crucial to the successful implementation of our strategy.

About the CLASSEN Group

As a leading German manufacturer of wall and floor coverings, CLASSEN stands for technological leadership and durable product solutions. Approximately 2,000 employees worldwide are committed to efficient processes, responsible use of materials, and continuous improvement throughout the entire value chain. With professional expertise and dedication, they promote resource-efficient processes, durable product concepts, and the return of suitable materials to the recycling loop. CLASSEN deliberately avoids the use of chlorine, PVC, and plasticizers in its wall and floor coverings.

With numerous patents available to the entire industry, the company underscores not only its own independence but also its commitment to continuous innovation. With CERAMIN®, CLASSEN has developed a material that consists largely of recycled plastic and is highly recyclable. In doing so, CLASSEN is making an exemplary contribution to the circular economy. Founded in 1962 by Dr. Hans-Jürgen Hannig, this family-owned company is currently managed by three generations, including the founder himself, who are involved in day-to-day operations.
