Cologne, October 20, 2023 – The CLASSEN Group, one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality laminate and CERAMIN wall and floor coverings, has announced its participation in this year’s Holz Industry Day in Cologne, where the focus will be on its first-class laminate product line, the pioneering PVC-free glue-down/click product concept “NUVA” (CERAMIN), and doors. The event will take place on November 7 and 8, 2023, at the Cologne Exhibition Center and promises to be an exciting platform for the exchange of knowledge and the presentation of innovative products.
The Wood Industry Day is a major event for the wood industry and related sectors, eagerly anticipated every year. CLASSEN is also participating as an exhibitor for the first time, showcasing its flooring lineup and its sister division for high-quality doors across two booths. The flooring showcase will focus on laminate products as well as the revolutionary “NUVA” (CERAMIN) product concept, which will be unveiled for the first time at the trade show. This innovation offers a PVC-free alternative to conventional PVC flooring.

“Our participation in this event is of great significance, as we will be showcasing the latest advancements in the flooring industry,” says Mathias Gorecki, Managing Director of the CLASSEN Group. “Our high-quality, water-resistant laminate floors have already earned an excellent reputation, and with the new ‘NUVA’ (CERAMIN) product concept, we are combining product development and innovation.”

Visitors are cordially invited to visit the CLASSEN Group’s booths in Hall 8, Booth E-020 (flooring) and Booth E-021 (doors), to learn more about their latest laminate products, the “NUVA” (CERAMIN) product concept, and CLASSEN doors. The CLASSEN Group looks forward to inspiring conversations and the exchange of ideas at the Holz Industry Day in Cologne.

A strong signal for the industry

With the Cradle to Cradle Material Health certification, the CLASSEN Group is sending a strong signal in support of sustainable innovation in the flooring industry. “This certification is another milestone for our company and demonstrates that sustainable business practices and high-quality product solutions can go hand in hand,” explains Sebastian Wendel, who is responsible for strategic business development at the CLASSEN Group.

About the CLASSEN Group

As a leading German manufacturer of wall and floor coverings, CLASSEN stands for technological leadership and durable product solutions. Approximately 2,000 employees worldwide are committed to efficient processes, responsible use of materials, and continuous improvement throughout the entire value chain. With professional expertise and dedication, they promote resource-efficient processes, durable product concepts, and the return of suitable materials to the recycling loop. CLASSEN deliberately avoids the use of chlorine, PVC, and plasticizers in its wall and floor coverings.

With numerous patents available to the entire industry, the company underscores not only its own independence but also its commitment to continuous innovation. With CERAMIN®, CLASSEN has developed a material that consists largely of recycled plastic and is highly recyclable. In doing so, CLASSEN is making an exemplary contribution to the circular economy. Founded in 1962 by Dr. Hans-Jürgen Hannig, this family-owned company is currently managed by three generations, including the founder himself, who are involved in day-to-day operations.
