Ceramin®, Uberwood, Manor, and Megaloc

Munich/Kaisersesch, February 8, 2023. The CLASSEN , one of the world’s leading manufacturers of laminate flooring and PVC-free wall and floor coverings, will present four groundbreaking innovations at BAU 2023, taking place April 17–23 in Munich. In addition to the licensable Megaloc installation systems and the XXL-format, fully recyclable Ceramin® floors and tiles, the company is also presenting the new Uberwood® collection, featuring a surface texture that is entirely new to date, as well as a new innovative herringbone laminate. All new products can be experienced up close at the CLASSEN booth (Hall A6, Booth 314).

Megaloc - Better Water Protection and Easy Removal

For many years, the CLASSEN Megaloc systems have been proven and popular in the flooring industry. The new generation of the Megaloc locking system is not only water-resistant for up to 48 hours—just like the previous Megaloc AquaProtect—but it also allows for the easy removal of planks that have already been installed. This non-destructive disassembly is not limited to laminate flooring; the Fold-Down system is also available for floating-installed pre-finished parquet as Megaloc XXL. The family-owned company’s commitment to sustainability is reflected here in an extended product lifecycle and improved durability of the floors. The CLASSEN also makes the patented system—in which the end edges lock together quickly and easily or simply fold apart during removal—available to the entire industry as part of its licensing business.

Ceramin® - Upcycling and Recycling Made in Germany

At BAU in Munich CLASSEN presenting several newCeramin® products.Ceramin® consists primarily of natural mineral fillers and polyolefins, mainly polypropylene (PP). In turn, more than 60 percent of the plastic content consists of recycled materials. As a result, the floor and wall coverings are healthy for living spaces, 100 percent recyclable, and a sustainable alternative to PVC flooring, ceramic tiles, and natural stone.

TheCeramin® Tiles collection, which has already proven itself on the market, is being expanded with new designs. This entirely new category of tiles is ultra-lightweight, durable, and ideal for bathroom renovations or refurbishments. Despite their size of 2.55 × 1.20 meters, the XXL designs weigh up to 60 percent less than conventional ceramic tiles and can be installed by a single person. This makesCeramin® Tiles particularly attractive to DIY enthusiasts and professionals.

In addition, CLASSEN showcases all the technical advancements of the newCeramin® generation CLASSEN its new “Nuva” collection. In addition to an embossed bevel in the wear layer, Nuva is distinguished above all by its XL formats.

Uberwood® - a new generation of flooring

At BAU, the CLASSEN is introducing a new category of flooring withUberwood®. Thanks to the company’s high level of manufacturing expertise, the flooring features a diamond-hard, scratch-resistant surface. As a result,Uberwood® meetsService Class 33 and Abrasion Class 5standards . Additionally, the installation system guarantees water resistance for up to 100 hours. Combined with the two-millimeter-thick underlay, which serves as a cushion for sound absorption and eliminates the need for additional impact sound insulation, the flooring is suitable for all applications—from private living spaces to commercial or retail areas.

The standard format inthe Uberwood® range is complemented by an XL format, designed primarily to create a more open, airy feel in smaller rooms. The look and feel ofUberwood® planks are exceptional and entirely new. Three different synchronized textures (Authentic, Iconic, Rustic) and 15 designs leave nothing to be desired. The rustic designs, in particular, with textures that previously only real wood floors could achieve at this level of depth, demonstrate a love for product detail: modeled after hand-selected, local woods, they feature striking cracks and knots with authentic highlights, perfected by an additional elegant finish. This makes the planks look so natural that they are virtually indistinguishable from real wood applications. In accordance with the CLASSEN sustainability principles, the wood used comes primarily from FSC® (FSC C100583) or PEFC (PEFC/04-31-0824) certified forests.

Manor – the first herringbone laminate collection

With Manor, CLASSEN presents CLASSEN first herringbone collection. While this is not a novelty for the industry, CLASSEN once again demonstrates CLASSEN technological leadership: The completely new installation system does not require left- and right-facing planks, thereby outshining conventional herringbone products. Additionally, it eliminates the need for retailers to stock two different types of planks and prevents the possibility of mixing them up during installation. The innovative Fold-Down installation method ensures true ease of installation and rapid progress for both herringbone and standard laying patterns. The synchronized pore appearance underscores the natural look of the decors and gives the products an exclusive character.

You can see these and other new products at CLASSEN booth at BAU from April 17 to 23.
