New Sales Structure for the CLASSEN: Greater Dynamism and Stronger Integration of Individual Sales Companies

Kaisersesch, August 14, 2023. The CLASSEN is unveiling its new sales structure, which brings a breath of fresh air and new momentum to the family-owned business. With this change, the CLASSEN aims to strengthen sales operations within the company and promote closer networking and cross-departmental collaboration.

“Our goal is to create a corporate culture based on collaboration and creative exchange,” says Dr. Hans-Jürgen Hannig, founder and CEO of the family-owned company. “With the implementation of our new sales structure, the CLASSEN is well-equipped to successfully meet the challenges of today’s market and develop innovative solutions that will position us strongly for the future.”

One of the new features is that Mathias Gorecki has been appointed to the Group Executive Board. With over 30 years of experience as an integral part of CLASSEN, Mr. Gorecki will now assume a key role at the Group level and work hand-in-hand with Céline Quervel to drive the company’s sales strategy forward. Céline Quervelcontinuesto leadCorporate Marketing and is now also responsible for overall sales at the family level. In this role, Céline Quervel has been appointed to the management boards of all sales subsidiaries.

Moritz Menier will assume responsibility for the strategically important North and South American market. In this role, he will also drive new investment projects for CLASSEN in the United States. The first initiative under his leadership was the establishment of CLASSEN Inc., where Moritz Menier serves as CEO.

David Husseywill takecharge of key export markets, such as Western Europe, Scandinavia, and the Middle East. With his extensive experience in the laminate flooring sector, he brings valuable expertise and years of market experience to his new role.

The CLASSEN new sales team places a special emphasis on close collaboration with all departments within the company. Cross-functional teams are specifically deployed to successfully launch new products such as the innovative CERAMIN (PP Dryback). The CLASSEN is also investing heavily in digitalization to leverage innovative technologies and digital solutions that make collaboration more efficient and further improve customer interaction. With this holistic approach, the CLASSEN is ideally positioned to further strengthen its leading position in the industry and serve its customers worldwide in the best possible way.

Cradle to Cradle Material Health Certificate

The Cradle to Cradle Certified® Material Health certificate was CERAMIN for CERAMIN in February 2025. The certification bears the number 8902 and was conducted by EPEA GmbH – Part of Drees & Sommer as the lead assessment body. It is valid until February 27, 2028, and confirms compliance with the strict, globally recognized material health assessment method of the Cradle to Cradle Certified Product Standard at the Bronze level.

Circularity for a Better Future

The Cradle to Cradle principle aims to design products so that they can be fully recycled without generating waste. CERAMIN from recycled and recyclable polypropylene (PP) and, at the end of its service life as a flooring material, can be reintroduced into the production cycle. Thanks to its material properties, it is suitable not only for reuse in new flooring but also for use in other products. This contributes to resource conservation and supports a sustainable circular economy.

A strong signal to the industry

With the Cradle to Cradle Material Health certification, the CLASSEN is sending a strong signal in support of sustainable innovation in the flooring industry. “This certification is another milestone for our company and demonstrates that sustainable business practices and high-quality product solutions can go hand in hand,” explains Sebastian Wendel, who is responsible for strategic business development at the CLASSEN.
