Modular booth featuring 420 unique, fully recycled floor panels

Cologne, March 28, 2023. For the first time, the CLASSEN is participating in Interzum, the world’s leading trade fair for furniture manufacturing and interior design. The family-owned company is celebrating its debut with a booth design concept that brings the wall and floor covering manufacturer’s core values—sustainability and uniqueness—to life from May 9 to 12 in Cologne. The booth in Hall 1.2 can be assembled and disassembled in a modular fashion, allowing it to be individually adapted to the requirements of various trade shows and presentation events. In addition, trade show visitors can get a sense of the CLASSEN capabilities through 420 unique floor planks. TheCERAMINⓇ individual planks, designed using digital printing, are not only robust but also 100 percent recyclable. Thanks to their easy disassembly, the entire surface can subsequently be reused or completely recycled.

420 individual planks

CLASSEN is already putting CLASSEN new modular booth design concept to use at BAU in Munich. Just a few weeks later, the booth—albeit slightly larger at 145 square meters—will be on display at Interzum. The “Materials & Nature” exhibition segment is a perfect fit for the long-established company from Kaisersesch. The patented materialCERAMINⓇ was developed with great passion at the main plant; it impresses not only with its exceptional product properties but above all with its commitment to sustainability.

CERAMIN®: A prime example of the circular economy

CERAMIN® consists primarily of natural mineral fillers and polypropylene (PP). More than 65 percent of the plastic content is made up of recycled materials. As a result, these floor and wall coverings are healthy for the home, 100 percent recyclable, and a sustainable alternative to PVC flooring, ceramic tiles, and natural stone. Thanks to their robustness (service class 34 / AC6),CERAMINⓇ floors are particularly suitable for trade show and retail construction, as well as for commercial and residential spaces. This is also because they are moisture-resistant and very easy to clean. Machine manufacturer battenfeld.cincinatti had already equipped its booth at the K 2022 plastics trade fair withCERAMINⓇ flooring, which was subsequently processed into new flooring at CLASSEN in Kaisersesch.

Sustainable, high-performance, and with an eye for detail

Visitors to the trade show are likely to be impressed not only by the durability of theCERAMINⓇ flooring installed at the booth, but above all CLASSEN the fact that CLASSEN has CLASSEN no two planks are alike. The flooring design is inspired by native wood species, created using digital printing—allowing the Interzum trade show booth to be fitted with 240 unique planks. This demonstrates the expertise and attention to detail of CLASSEN design department.

A contender for top honors: CERAMIN, the tile alternative Tiles and Manor Herringbone Laminate

Two product innovations from the CLASSEN are in the running for the prestigious interzum award, which will be presented on May 8, 2023, during the interzum trade fair. With this award, the expert jury honors products that impress them in terms of the value-adding factors of design, sustainability, and innovation. These are precisely the aspects that apply to both theCERAMINⓇ Tiles collection, which has already proven itself on the market, and the first herringbone laminate collection,ManorⓇ

XXL and ultra-light: With CERAMINDesign and renovate bathrooms on your own with CERAMINⓇ

CERAMINⓇ Tiles represent a completely new category of tiles. They are ultra-lightweight, durable, and ideal for bathroom renovations or refurbishments. They are also available in a wide range of designs and sizes. For example, despite their size of 2.55 × 1.20 meters, the XXL designs weigh up to 60 percent less than conventional ceramic tiles. This means they can be installed by a single person. That makesCERAMINⓇ Tiles particularly attractive for DIYers and professionals. At the booth, visitors can experience all the technical advancements of the newCERAMINⓇ generation through the new “Nuva” collection. In addition to an embossed bevel in the wear layer, Nuva stands out above all for its XL formats.

Manor - the first herringbone laminate collection that’s easy to install

WithManorⓇ, CLASSEN reinforces CLASSEN technological CLASSEN in the flooring industry.

The first herringbone collection in the laminate sector is launching with a completely new installation system. Unlike conventional herringbone products,ManorⓇ does not require separate left and right planks. This not only eliminates the need for retailers to stock two types of planks but also prevents the risk of mixing them up during installation. The innovative Fold-Down installation method ensures true installation comfort and allows for rapid progress with both herringbone and standard installation patterns. The synchronized pore look underscores the natural appearance of the decors and gives the products an exclusive character.

These and other new products will be on display at CLASSEN booth B021 in Hall 1.2 at Interzum from May 9 to 12.
