4. Warranty Terms and Conditions
This warranty applies to all Class I products from Classen Holz Kontor GmbH that were manufactured after the date these warranty terms were issued.
Second-grade products, clearance items, or other laminate flooring sold at a discount, as well as products that differ in color, gloss, or texture from the images and samples provided, are excluded from this warranty.
The warranty provisions set forth herein apply exclusively to indoor installation and the associated environmental conditions in residential and office spaces.
In commercial spaces, the flooring must be installed by a professional floor installer.
5. Disclaimer of Warranty
Warranty claims are excluded for damage caused by:
- Improper installation, use, storage, or transport of the planks in violation of the specifications in the installation instructions and without the use of accessories approved or recommended by CLASSEN. Only underlayment materials that meet the highest requirements of EN 16354 are permitted.
- Inappropriate subfloor/surface preparation
- Replacement of visibly damaged
- any modification to the original—
- normal wear and tear or minor signs of use in the form of micro-scratches
- due to pointed shoe heels, moving furniture, and/or using unsuitable chair casters, or due to changes in gloss caused by sand, gravel, scouring cream, or adhesive.
- Scratches caused by pointed or sharp-edged objects or furniture legs.
- Household items that fall, provided they weigh more than 0.5 kg and the drop height exceeds 0.9 m.
- Improper handling of the floorboards resulting from use contrary to their intended purpose, accidents, or misuse (damage caused by pets is considered misuse).
- Improper use of abrasives and improper care of the floorboards with unsuitable cleaning agents, scouring cream, soaps, wax, or polishes/oils contrary to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Compliance with the cleaning and care instructions is a condition for the warranty to be honored. These instructions should have been provided to you by the retailer or installer at the time of purchase, or you can obtain them at
- Gaps in the joints caused by improper installation, improper use, or inadequate maintenance or cleaning. Damage resulting from continuous exposure of the floorboards to high temperatures.
- Impact from furniture on casters, vacuum cleaners or cleaning devices with rotating beater brushes, toys, or other objects.
- Attempts to repair in
- Chemicals, embers, fire, and
- Hair dyes, bleaches, and other coloring products
- Mixing Different Product Batches
6. Filing a Warranty Claim
The customer must submit the following documents to make a warranty claim:
- meaningful photos
- Original invoice showing the purchase date and the supplier's or retailer's stamp
A warranty claim must be filed within 30 days of the defect’s occurrence, either in writing or by submitting the fully completed warranty card , directly to CLASSEN Holz Kontor GmbH, Werner-von-Siemens-Str. 18-20, D-56759 Kaisersesch.
A warranty claim must be filed during the applicable warranty period.
The type and quantity of the product must be clearly indicated on the original invoice. If the invoice is not provided, the warranty claim may be denied. The description of the defect must include the production code, which is located on the back of the affected floorboard.
Before accepting the complaint, CLASSEN reserves the right to inspect the affected flooring on site or have it inspected by a third party; to request or take photographs of the affected planks and the relevant surroundings; or to request the planks themselves for the purpose of verifying the defect.
The warranty coverage applies within the EU.
7. Disclaimer
The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser as long as he or she owns the floorboards. It applies only to the initial installation. The original purchaser is the buyer listed on the invoice.
All information contained in brochures, fact sheets, advertisements, and marketing materials, as well as statements made by sales representatives or dealers, is general in nature and is not binding on CLASSEN. Sales representatives and dealers are not authorized to modify the warranty.
Liability for consequential damages is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Should any provision of this warranty be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. There are no side agreements to this warranty, and, like all amendments, they must be in writing to be valid. All side agreements and amendments must be signed by an authorized representative of CLASSEN.

8. Statutory Consumer Rights
This manufacturer's warranty does not limit the customer's statutory claims for defects against the retailer or manufacturer arising from the purchase agreement, which the consumer may assert free of charge.
This warranty promise does not affect the customer’s statutory warranty rights. In this respect, the manufacturer’s warranty enhances the customer’s legal position.
If the floorboards are defective, the customer may also contact their retailer under the statutory warranty, regardless of whether a warranty claim exists or is being made.
