Kaisersesch, November 28, 2024 – The CLASSEN has received the coveted Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label for CERAMIN®. This award recognizes CERAMIN one of the most efficient and sustainable solutions for the construction and renovation industry.
CERAMIN a completely PVC-free flooring made from recycled and recyclable polypropylene (PP). The use of safe raw materials and energy-efficient production reduce its environmental footprint. The CLASSEN Group CERAMIN manufacturing CERAMIN in Germany for over ten years and has consistently championed eco-friendly innovations in the flooring industry. In addition to Cradle to Cradle certification, CERAMIN holds CERAMIN environmental and quality certifications, such as the “Blue Angel” eco-label.

International panel of experts honors innovative material CERAMIN

Hanover/Kaisersesch, January 17, 2024. CERAMIN January 11, 2024, at DOMOTEX, the material CERAMIN received the Green Collection Award for its outstanding contribution to sustainability and the circular economy in the flooring industry. The leading trade fair for flooring in Hanover recognized innovative and inspiring achievements by companies in the field of environmental protection for the second time.
An international jury of renowned experts, led by Dr. phil. Jacqueline Lemm, Director of the Institute for Soil Systems in Aachen, selected the winners from over 70 different entries. The specially developed, PVC-free material CERAMIN for its forward-looking technology and recyclability:CERAMIN CLASSEN an innovative combination of natural minerals and polypropylene that results in a durable and high-performance product, the quality of which also impressed the jury.” At the award ceremony, Lemm emphasized the high quality of the submissions and the progress made by many companies in the industry. This makes winning an award in this demanding competition all the more significant.

Excellent quality

The CLASSEN committed to environmental sustainability well before its competitors did. The most important aspect in the development of the CERAMIN material CERAMIN —and remains—its sustainability. The product is made from recycled materials and is therefore 100 percent recyclable. The company deliberately avoids harmful substances such as PVC or phthalates and relies on healthy alternatives—this is officially certified by the Blue Angel.
