Water and Land Conservation

Water is a valuable resource. That is why we use closed-loop water systems:

In addition, we strive to minimized land sealing through well-designed building structures and optimal use of existing space.

Energy-efficient production

Our plants are designed for maximum energy efficiency :

>90% of electricity generated on-site through combined heat and power (CHP)

Waste heat recovery for wood drying

Avoiding the use of fossil fuels wherever possible

Minimizing the purchase of external energy

Best Practice:At the Baruth we meet all our heating needs with climate-friendly wood waste — a closed-loop system with significant CO₂ savings.

Product Design

Circular economy starts with a mindset – even during product development:

Our developers take recyclability and material safety into account right from the design phase.
·
CERAMIN®, our PVC-free backing material, is 100% recyclable and safe for indoor use.
·
Series such as Dryback and Lay feature installation systems that allow for residue-free removal—ideal for reuse or complete recycling without any loss of quality.
·
By using post-consumer recycled material (PCR)—for example, in CERAMIN®—we are already utilizing recycled materials that are reintroduced into the production process.
·
Together with our partners, we develop take-back systems to recycle old CLASSEN instead of disposing of it.
