Baruth / Kaisersesch, June 3, 2025 – In May 2025, the CLASSEN was awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Medal. This places the company among the top 35% of all firms evaluated worldwide in the EcoVadis ranking.
In the latest assessment, CLASSEN has made CLASSEN progress and demonstrated a very positive overall performance. The company has achieved significant improvements, particularly in the areas of labor and human rights as well as the environment, which underscores its commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices. In the areas of sustainable procurement and ethics as well, the company’s continuous development and strong commitment to improvement in these key areas are evident.

“The EcoVadis assessment is an important indicator for us that we are on the right track with our sustainability approach,” says Jan Wöhner, Sustainability Officer at CLASSEN. “At the same time, it shows us where we need to focus our efforts—particularly in the areas of ethics and the supply chain. Transparency, progress, and responsibility remain our core guiding principles.”

EcoVadis is recognized as the world’s leading platform for assessing sustainability performance in global supply chains. Companies are evaluated based on 21 criteria across four key areas—environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement—using international standards such as GRI, the UN Global Compact, and ISO 26000.

The award is clear evidence of the CLASSEN consistent commitment to sustainability. It also confirms the effectiveness of numerous measures that have been implemented in recent years along the supply chain and within the company.
