Award-Worthy Product Innovations at Interzum

For the first time, the CLASSEN Group is participating in Interzum, the world’s leading trade fair for furniture manufacturing and interior design. Two product innovations from the family-owned company are in the running for the prestigious interzum award, which will be presented on May 8, 2023, during the trade show. CLASSEN is celebrating its trade show debut with a booth design that brings the wall and flooring manufacturer’s guiding principles—sustainability and uniqueness—to life from May 9 to 12 in Cologne.

Unique and quick to uninstall

The custom-built booth in Hall 1.2 can be assembled and disassembled in a modular fashion, allowing it to be individually adapted to the specific requirements of various trade shows and presentation events. In addition, trade show visitors can get a sense of the CLASSEN Group’s capabilities through 420 unique floor panels. The CERAMIN® individual floorboards, designed using digital printing technology, are not only durable but also 100 percent recyclable. Thanks to the simple disassembly process, the entire surface can subsequently be reused or completely recycled.

CLASSEN is already putting its new modular booth design concept to use at BAU in Munich. Just a few weeks later, the booth—this time slightly larger at 145 square meters—will be on display at Interzum. The “Materials & Nature” exhibition segment is a perfect fit for CERAMIN®: We developed this patented material with great passion; it impresses not only with its exceptional product properties but, above all, with its commitment to sustainability.

CERAMIN® Nominated for the interzum Award

CERAMIN® consists primarily of natural mineral filler and polypropylene (PP). More than 65 percent of the plastic content is made up of recycled materials. As a result, these floor and wall coverings are healthy for the home, 100 percent recyclable, and a sustainable alternative to PVC flooring, ceramic tiles, and natural stone. Thanks to their durability (use class 34 / AC6), CERAMIN® floors are suitable not only for commercial and residential spaces but also for trade show and retail environments with significantly higher traffic. They are also moisture-resistant and very easy to clean. These qualities also impressed the expert jury of the interzum awards. The award recognizes products that excel in the value-added factors of design, sustainability, and innovation. These are precisely the aspects that characterize the CERAMIN® Tiles collection, which has already proven itself in the market.

Every floorboard is one of a kind

Visitors to the trade show are likely to be impressed not only by the durability of the CERAMIN® flooring installed at the booth, but above all by the fact that we made sure no two planks are alike. The flooring’s design, created using digital printing, is inspired by native wood species. As a result, the floor of the Interzum booth was fitted with 420 unique planks. This demonstrates the expertise and attention to detail of our colleagues in the design department.

XXL and ultralight: CERAMIN® Tiles

CERAMIN® Tiles represent a completely new category of tiles. They are ultra-lightweight, durable, and ideal for bathroom renovations or refurbishments. They are also available in a wide range of designs and sizes. Despite their size of 2.55 × 1.20 meters, the XXL designs weigh up to 60 percent less than conventional ceramic tiles. This means they can be installed by a single person. That makes CERAMIN® Tiles particularly attractive to DIY enthusiasts and professionals alike. At the trade show booth, visitors can experience all the technical advancements of the new CERAMIN® generation through the new “Nuva” collection. In addition to an embossed bevel in the wear layer, Nuva stands out above all for its XL sizes.

These and other new products will be on display at the CLASSEN Group’s booth B021 in Hall 1.2 at Interzum from May 9 to 12.
